Glass mastering
The premaster you have supplied will be used to create a stamper (negative). At ODR this is a quick and environmentally-friendly process as we use the latest technology.
The translation from premaster to stamper is a pure factory process. There is no audio editing and the premaster is not checked for errors. Whatever can be heard or seen on the premaster will also be heard or seen on the final product.
Pressing
Using the negative (stamper) we press either CDs or DVDs. Our annual capacity is 12 million CDs and five million DVDs.
All CDs and DVDs are checked for 100% accuracy with a machine that detects possible manufacturing errors. A number of CDs or DVDs of each pressing is also tested offline.
Printing
After pressing, the CDs or DVDs are printed using screen or digital printing methods. This latest technology is used particularly in full colour editions with small quantities.
